The Glacier's Patience is a Nightmare Unique tower shield, hunted from Frost Wyrm in the Mortal Arena, always at item level 120. It is one of four Exceptional drops on its list — 2.5% of the Uniques that boss gives up, about 1 in 40 — and every kill rolls the list 5 times. It is built on Sovereign Glacier Tower Shield — step 6 of the Glacier Tower Shield line, item level 80 and up.

It always rolls the same numbers: +88 Armor, −5% Move Speed, +40 Magic Defense, +40 Armor, +81 Ward, +72 Maximum Health, +688 Ward, +12% Power, +32% Cooldown Recovery and +62% Ultimate Generation.

One Unique drop in 40 is a Mythical copy: the same item carrying 15–25% Mythical Energy that boosts every stat on it and can never be changed; the 15% floor is 10 times as common as the perfect 25%.

On top of that it carries The Glacier's Patience — Your Special raises its wall twice over, wards 21% stronger for 50% longer and shelters one more ally, but your Main hits 15% softer.

Wearing it hands you Bulwark.

“It has outwaited mountains. It will outwait this.”
