Uniques/Off Hand/The Watchman's Bell

The Watchman's Bell is a Demon Unique shield with no boss attached: it drops anywhere in Nightmare, most often from N3 up (rarer below that home difficulty, never above it), and nowhere else. Every copy is item level 100, and there 0.3% of what falls comes up Unique. It is built on Sovereign Sunpetal Shield — step 6 of the Sunpetal Shield line, item level 80 and up.

It always rolls the same numbers: +56 Armor, +7% Cooldown Recovery, +40 Magic Defense, +60 Armor, +9% Cooldown Recovery, +50% Guard Power, +594 Ward and +26% Cooldown Recovery.

One Unique drop in 40 is a Mythical copy: the same item carrying 15–25% Mythical Energy that boosts every stat on it and can never be changed; the 15% floor is 10 times as common as the perfect 25%.

On top of that it carries The Watchman's Bell — Ward Pulse recharges 45% faster, but wards 35% less for 30% less time: a trickle, not a wall.

Wearing it hands you Ward Pulse.

“Rung every minute, whether or not anything came.”
